Joan

Following an illness of three years, Joan, aged 90 years, passed away on May 7, 2011, at The Acton Care Centre, London, W3.

Quatford born, Joan graduated from the local school to Bridgnorth Grammar School before moving south to London University. She married her late husband Jack Claydon and settled in London.

Joan's death is a great loss to sister Dorothy Withers and Family in Shrewsbury and Relatives elsewhere. Of her many friends, particular mention is due to Sylvia and Roger Crook of Quatford whose care of Joan's Step-father, George Rogers until his death in 1995 was greatly appreciated.

Although an 'adopted' Londoner, Joan remained a 'Shropshire Lass' until her final breath.

The Funeral is at Mortlake Crematorium, Richmondat 12.30pm, Tuesday, May 24, 2011.
