MEESON

Edgar Gordon

Carol, David, Michelle, Martin, Jacob, Sam and Keira would like to express their sincere thanks to all Relatives and Friends for their kindness and support and for the many cards, letters and messages of sympathy and forthe flowers received at a very sad time.

We appreciated the attendance of so many at the Funeral Services. Edgar would have been totally amazed at the amount of people present. Our thanks to the Reverend Kevin Evans for his kindness and assurance andfor leading us in Services of real celebration of Edgar's life. We also thank Edgar's cycling Friends who were bearers. We appreciated the gesture very much.

Our thanks also to The Shropshire at Muxton for the splendid buffet and to those who joinedus at the reception. It was good to see so many much loved familiar faces from the past, renewing friendships and recalling happy memories.

We especially wish to thank Harry, Reg and Tom for their valiant efforts at the roadside with Edgar. Also the twopeople who stopped and offered their assistance. To the Ambulance Crews, The County Air Ambulance and to the local residents of Allscott who gave help in many ways on July 10th. Our grateful thanks also to the Intensive Care Units at The Princess Royal Hospital, for the dedication of the Doctors and Nursing staff whilst Edgar was in their care.

Our thanks also to Jill at the Station Florists at Oakengates for the floral tributes.

To John and Symon Tranter, Diane and indeed all the staff at L.Tranter and Son not only for their professionalism, but also for their concern and ongoing kindness.

We thank everyone for the most generous donations of œ1,214.00 which has been divided equally between The County Air Ambulance and the Cardiac Unit at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

Carol and David would also like to thank Michelle who wrote the moving tribute to her Father and to Martin who read the eulogy in front of so many people, at a most difficult and emotional time.

We as a Family have been overwhelmed by the kindness shown to us by so many people and for this we thank you all.

Edgar liked nothing more than being out on his bike along with his Friends. He enjoyed the banter and the laughter and appreciated the friendships made over many years.

Cycling was his life and he left this world doing just that.

We miss this quiet, unassuming man.
