Eric On Saturday, March 12, 2022, peacefully in hospital Eric, aged 95 years, of Norbury. Beloved Husband of the late Josie, much loved Dad of Gareth and Wendy, devoted Grandad of Rebecca, Michael, Stephen, Jessica, Josh, Chloe and William and Great-Grandad to Scott and Harry.
Funeral Service at St. Michael and all Angel's Church, Marbury on Thursday, March 24 at 11.00am. Followed by Interment in the Churchyard.
Family flowers only please. Donations if desired for St. Michael and all Angel's Church, Marbury.

I only met Eric once, when I visited Shropshire in 2011, to research my family tree. He is the cousin of my Grandfather. His father was the brother of John (my great grandfather), who left Whitchurch and moved to Barnsley after the first world war.
I felt so blessed on the trip in 2011, to find an actual relative. He looked so much like my grandfather it was strange. Eric and Josie, opened there home to me and my husband and we spent a short while, talking about his childhood and my great grandfather (who died before I was born).
Myself and family will be visiting again in July this year and I will make sure I stop by St Michaels to pay my respects to a wonderful man.
