Dennis Robert Peacefully at Ottley House Care Home, on February 2, 2019, aged 88 years. Funeral Service at Shrewsbury Cemetery Chapel, Longden Road, Shrewsbury, SY3 7HS, at 12.30pm, followed by Interment. All are welcome. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to The Stroke Association. Inquiries to 01743 344646

Dennis was my neighbour from when I was five until he had to move when I was ten. He and the late Jean were greatly welcoming to us and were the best neighbours we could have hoped for. One Christmas, he crafted a ride-on wooden biplane for my two-year-old brother, with his own hands. We are all very saddened to learn that he has passed on but we are all the better for having known him.

I had the pleasure of knowing Dennis for more than 2 years. Dennis was such a kind, caring gentlemen and had such a good sense of humor and we had so many laughs together and long chats. Dennis attended all my activities and joined in with gusto. He also loved going out on the trips and I have very fond memories of our last trip to the discovery center as we had such fun and laughed until our bellies ached. I was always amazed at how he built all his model planes, animals, buildings etc, they were all a work of art and I enjoyed painting some of them. I will always remember Dennis and I cared for him very much and was so sad when I heard of his passing.
