Doreen

On December 20, 2010, the Funeral took place of Doreen Davies, of Bron Y Buckley, Welshpool.

She passed away peacefully at The Severn Hospice, Shrewsbury, in her sleep, on December 11, 2010, aged 58, following a long battlewith cancer. Doreen leaves her beloved Husband Len Davies, four Children, four Grandchildren and numerous other Friends and Family.

Doreen spent most of her working life employed at Kwiksaves and Morrison's where she must have served thousands of people with the same cheerful smile! Doreen spent many an evening in the week catching up with Friends at the local Whist Drives and enjoyed with Len, many wonderful mystery trips!

Doreen managed her battle with cancer in the bravest fashion you could imagine, never complaining and always thinking of others, raising money for numerous charities along the way.

The Funeral Service was at Shrewsbury Crematorium, with Bearers Mal Jones, John Jones, Tony Jones and Kirk Shurey. With Ushers, Doreen's Brothers, Fred Jones and Ray Jones.

Donations totalling œ1,000 were raised and divided between The Severn Hospice, Shrewsbury (œ560), The Wales Air Ambulance (œ240) and Welshpool Medical Centre (œ200)

Len and Mark Owen would like to send their sincere thanks toall for the kindness shown throughout a very sad time.
