I wonder Mom, can you see me when I'm at your resting place, can you tell how much I miss you by the look upon my face. I'd tell you all that's happened and just before I go, I'd tell you that I miss you as if you didn't know and as I walk away from you feeling so very sad and blue, I'd turn around, take one more look and whisper I love you and wish with all my heart you were here with me today.

The first year has flown by since that never to be forgotten last goodbye, there's a void in our lives that can't be replaced, no one can ever match your smiling face, it's a year that's filled with sadness and returns to us today, it marks the day you left us, it never goes away.

Your smile has gone forever, your hand we cannot touch but we'll never lose the memories of a Mom and Nan we loved so much.
