The Funeral of Joyce Evans, formerly of Whittington Close, Sundorne Castle Estate, Shrewsbury, took place at Shrewsbury Crematorium, on March 9, 2010.

The Service was conducted by the Reverend John Daimond.

Joycedied peacefully at Isle Court Nursing Home on February 28, aged 84 years, following a short illness.

She had spent the last seven years at Jubilee Villa Care Home suffering from Dementia.

Born in 1925, Joyce worked at the Chatwood Safe and Engineering Company, where she met her late Husband Bill.

In later years she was employed by Multilift Ltd, she regularly attended the Church of the Holy Spirit, Harlescott and was a member of Harlescott Women's Club and Mothers Union.

Family mourners were Mrs S Pugh, Daughter, Mr M Pugh, Son-in-law, Mrs C Hollis, Granddaughter, also representing Mr A Hollis and Miss F Hollis, Mr S Pugh, Grandson, Mrs S Lovett, Niece, also representing Mr and Mrs R Foulkes, Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law and Mr A Lovett, Mrs N Peters, Miss J Lovett.

Other mourners were Mr and Mrs N Holladay, also representing James, Jenny and Edward, Laura, Andrew and Sarah, Mr and Mrs M Foulkes, Mrs O Bailey, Mr and Mrs G Carless, also representing Mrs M Carless, Mrs J Hollis, also representing Mr M Hollis, Mr and Mrs K Robinson, Mrs M Wakeley, Mr G Avery, also representing Mrs S Avery, Thomas and Benjamin, Mr and Mrs K Bishop, also representing Mr and Mrs J Barclay, Miss V Brewster, Mrs J Lewis and Mr I Lewis also representing Mark, Jane, Glyn and Neil Lewis, Mr and Mrs M Hammond, also representing Sam, Debbie, Sara and Lisa, Mr and Mrs R D Stokes, Mrs L Read and Mrs S Edwards, also representing Mrs S Hartley, Staff and Residents of Jubilee Villa Care Home, MrA Richardson, Mr C Adams, Mr R Maddox, Mr K Richards, Mr M Weaver.

The Funeral arrangements were by W R R Pugh and Son.
