DOREEN BATTYE Passed away on March 28th at West Suffolk Hospital, after a thankfully short illness, aged 90 years. She is already much missed by her children. Doreen was a well-known figure for many years in Sudbury, as the local receptionist for the East Anglian Daily Times, as a supporter of The Quay Theatre, a local Town Councillor, and as a proud member of the Long Melford Ipswich Town Supporters Club. The Funeral Service will held at The West Suffolk Crematorium, Bury St Edmunds, Tuesday April 27th at 2.00 p.m. Attendance welcomed but by invitation from the family in the current circumstances. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired may be made payable to the Macular Degeneration Society at https://www.macularsociety.org/ or to the Alzheimers Society at https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/. Alternatively by payment made to The Macular Society or to The Alzheimer's Society, and sent to c/o The East of England Co-operative Funeral Service, Cornard Road, Sudbury CO10 2XA.
