Seventeen years today

We are sad within our memory, lonely are our hearts today, for the one we loved so dearly, has forever been called away.

We think of him in silence. no eye may see us weep but many silent tears are shed, when others are asleep.

Within our home, where all seemed bright and took from us a shining light. We miss that light, and ever will, his vacant place there is none to fill. Down here we mourn but not in vain, for up in Heaven we will meet again.
