CHAMPION

Mary Lumley Aged 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2020, in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.

She was born on July 12, 1923 in Wolverhampton to Harold L and Margaret Warner. She served in the Land Army during WWII and then went on to study sculpture at the Royal College of Arts in London, one of the first women to do so. She was married to Ronald T Champion in 1950, until his death in 1987. Together they raised their Daughter Louise and Son David. She was always imagining and making art work, whether pottery or sewing, and left a vast collection of artistic creations. She had a welcoming and humorous personality that engaged all who met her and many Friends and Family will have funny and fond memories of her.

Due to the pandemic we are not having a Funeral Service for her but plan to have a celebration of her life next year.
