Ernie, honorary "Grandbear" to Ben and very much part of our lives will be missed. Being as much as a real Grandad when Ben was growing up through to being star interviewee when Ben wrote about his life as a police officer for The Black Country Bugle. Happy memories of reminiscing about the good , or not so good, old days in Netherton and realising that if you knew someone Ernie knew them and more too. A real character and gentleman whom we were privileged to know.
