We will miss you but will draw comfort reflecting our precious memories that can never be erased.

I was so sad to hear ...

Andrew Dade

I was so sad to hear that Pete has died when so young. I only met him a few times but he was a fount of good sense, good humour and slick organisational skills. The business of cycle training will be the poorer without him. My condolences and sympathies to his wife and children - it just seems so desparartely wrong and unfair. Andrew Dade, cycle trainer

Pete Rollings - Visionary

Dave Rolfe

18 January 2011
Shropshire Cycle Training Team owes so much to Pete. More than we can say and so much more than we could ever repay. He had the vision to create a centre of excellence to provide professional training for cycle instructors. Without this Shropshire could not have introduced Bikeability. Thousands of children have been trained as a direct result of Pete's vision in Shropshire alone. On a personal level, I shall miss his advice, his good humour and his common sense. We shared tales about the problems of running a Bikeability scheme and the frustrations of working for a local authority and yet he never let anything diminish his cheerfulness and optimism. He walked cheerfully through life and made our lives brighter.

It's always a shock to lose someone but to lose a man of Pete Rollings stature really is a huge blow. Pete was a truly great friend, his enthusiasm and sense of fun were infectious. I will miss him terribly. My deepest sympathy to his wife and family. Goodbye old friend. Mark. Derby
