Dad

So Dad, where do I start?

You've left me an almighty task, certainly not like other Dads; a 'real one-off', 'ones-time' we used to laugh.

Dad, you were a total contradiction who never conformed to rules, 'I did you a good job, tell your Mum' you used to say.

You were equipped with some amazing tools.

A clever mind and capacity for invention;

You taught me so many things, a real inspiration.

You could party like the best of them. 'Live life to the full' you'd say, 'it'sa rollercoaster ride, enjoy it', (who else goes to work in China for a day?)

Yet for all your success and material gains it was the simple things you treasured most.

Your generosity and kindness to others separated you from the crowd.

So for everything Dad, it's to you, I'd like to say thank you, I'm so immensely proud.

A truly remarkable man.
