DEAN

Kathleen Elizabeth

Aged 86 years. Of Market Drayton, Shropshire.

Passed away on January 28, 2013.

A Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving will be held at 12 noon, Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Church of St Mary's, Market Drayton.Reverend Martin Tanner will be officiating.

Light refreshments at Kathleen's home will follow.

Interment of ashes at Emstrey Crematorium, Shrewsbury, attended by Family members will then take place.

Kathleen was born in Takeley, Essex, on June3, 1926. She graduated from Herts and Essex High School, Bishop's Stortford and then qualified as a secondary school Teacher at Leicester College of Domestic Science, teaching at Walton-on-the- Naze.

Kathleen married John Dean on October 3, 1953, at Takeley, Essex; they were married for 31 years before he passed away in November 1984.

Kathleen believed that her primary role following marriage was as a Housewife and Mother, raising both a Daughter (Marion) and a Son (Richard).

The Family spent 20 years in Kidderminster before John's work brought them to Market Drayton.

Kathleen's hobbies included basket weaving, calligraphy and pewter work. She was very active locally and was involved with the local W.I. Tangent, Townswomen's Guild, Theatre Club, Flower Club, aswell as the U3A.

She also spent several years on the Fundraising Committee for the Severn Hospice.

Kathleen is survived by her Daughter Marion, her Son Richard, not to mention five Grandchildren, Katie, Richard and David,Jack and Monty.

In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be given to Macmillan Cancer Support or the Severn Hospice, Telford.
