Died peacefully at his home, on Saturday, May 19, 2018, aged 70 years.
A Memorial Service in celebration of his life will be held at St Michael and All Angels Church, Lydbury North, on Friday, June 1, at 2pm.
Casual dress please.

Dear Richard
Thanks for all the great times. Yes there was the Morris and the fun ceilidh bands we were in but there was something from an earlier time which came to my mind the other day and I wanted to share.
Richard taught at Bishop's Castle High School but he was also a pupil there . When I arrived there in 1964 as a shy nerdy 1st year student it was all a bit scary. When a bunch of large boys came up to me one day and asked for a word then I was somewhat nervous. It turned out that they were all Upper 6th form students and knew my brother who had just left school the year before. Richard quietly put my mind at ease by telling me that they had thought my brother was a fine fellow and they would be looking out for me. And so it was so ...no harm came to me .
Thanks again Richard for everything we shared.
