On January 27, 2018, aged 90 years.
Funeral Service to be held at Shrewsbury Crematorium, on Thursday, February 15, at 3.30pm.

Grace Batho was a friend of my mother Jean Brown (nee Barnett) since they worked together in Shrewsbury before my mother married and moved away in 1962. They remained in touch and I have very fond memories of visiting her and Leighton when we were kids in the 1970s and 80s at their lovely home. Leighton teased us mercilessly while Grace quietly scolded him for doing so. Their love and devotion to each other was clear to see. They were both very kind to us all and I know my mother valued their friendship greatly. I last saw Grace at my mother's funeral in 1989 but we kept in contact with cards and letters each Christmas. I stopped hearing from her a couple of years ago and I guess this is when she moved to residential care. I do not know if Grace has any surviving family but if there are I hope they see and this and know she is fondly remembered. Stephen Brown, Sheffield
