METCALFE
Dr Edith Marion
Of Madeley, Telford, Shropshire.
Died peacefully in a Nursing Home in Telford in March 2017, aged 95 years.
She lived in the area for sixty-five years and worked as a GP and subsequently Physiotherapist until the end of her life.
Throughout her life she was committed and tireless in supporting the local community in many ways and to helping others individually.
She is survived by her Daughter, three Sons and seven Grandchildren.
A Service to Celebrate her life will take place at 11.30am, Wednesday, April 5 at St Michael's Church, Madeley.
Family flowers only by request please.

For many years Dr Marion was a consultant to Telford Samaritans. She strongly believed in the Samaritan principle that people should be listened to without prejudice and that they should have a safe place where they could talk freely about their troubles. Dr Marion gave wise and valued advice to Telford Samaritans and we give thanks for her life and work with us. Our heartfelt condolences are sent to her family.
