Winifred Elizabeth

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Winifred Elizabeth Oakley, nee George on Friday, November 18, 2016, at Gosford Hospital, New South Wales, Australia, almost 10 years to the day her Husband Dennisdied.

Win was born in Bridgnorth in 1930 to Violet and Stanley George and grew up at The School House , Morville.

Win met Dennis whilst working as a Nanny at Willey Hall and they married at Morville Church, Coronation week, June 1953.

Win and Den made their home in Highley with Daughters Janet and Alison, living there for nearly 50 years, before they made the decision to emigrate to Australia in 2002, to join Janet and Michael.

Win leaves behind Daughter Janet and her Husband Mike in Australia, Daughter Alison and her Husband Greg and Grandsons Lukus and Benjamin in Canada.

Win, a beautiful Shropshire rose.
