From Casualty to Casualty, local Actor Dies.
The death occurred on October 5, 2014, of Geoffrey (Lanto) Evans, of Crowmeole Drive, Copthorne Shrewsbury.
For many years Geoff worked in the NHS and with over forty years Government Service accepted early retirement to pursue his love of the arts.
He was a member of The British Actors Equity, The Irish Equity Panel, Life Member of the coveted 'Film Artistes Association' and is featured in the Encyclopaedia of 'Film and Television Artistes' written and compiled by Scott Palmer and publish in San Diego, California, USA.
His stage credits include 'The Merchant of Venice', Ludlow Festival' and the award winning Welsh comedy 'The Welsh Connection' and the feature Film Weston 'Buffalo Girls' with Jack Palance.
He has appeared in hundreds of TV Films, dramas, shows and commercials and many Feature Films.
He is survived by one Son, Daughter-in-law and two Grandchildren.
Funeral Service to be held at Emstrey Crematorium, Shrewsbury on Wednesday, October 22, at 12 noon.
No flowers by request but donations if desired to Age UK (Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin) for which purpose a donation box will be provide at the Crematorium.

So sorry to learn of this sad news, I worked under Geoff when I started at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in 1984 a gentleman and a friend sorely missed I will always remember our conversations about Geoffs time in the operating theatre and the stories he told me, now after 29 years my self in theatres I will cherish his stories and our friendship,
Rest in peace my friend until we meet again and share more stories together
