Maureen

The Funeral of Maureen Davies, of Rockes Meadow, Knighton, who died on April 29, aged 73, from cancer of the pancreas, was held at Knighton Methodist Church on Friday, May 9.

Chief amongst mourners were her Husband Brian, Son Jonathan Davies and Daughter Bethan Dudley, Grandchildren Imogen, Bryony and Ceridwen, Sister Beryl Capewell, Nephew Neil Capewell, and Nephew Geraint Wynne-Davies (representing Brian's Brother Colin and his Wife Michelle).

Also present were Robin Dudley(Son-in-law), David Capewell (Brother-in-law) and Nephew Neil Capewell, Carol Kirkpatrick (Bodenham), Glenys Scarlett and her Daughters Karen and Julia from Stoke and many Friends from Knighton and Leintwardine.

The Service was officiated by the Rev.Pauline Long and Maureen was laid to rest in Knighton New Cemetery in Presteigne Road. The Funeral was arranged by Sally Hall of Geoff Hall Funerals of Knighton, to whom I am indebted.

Thanks are due to Staff at the Cottage Hospital, Knighton, where Maureen died, the caterers at the Methodist Church, and the many Friends and Relatives who gave generously in aid of the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.
