nee Matthews
Of Shifnal. Passed away at the Severn Hospice, Shrewsbury on Friday, April 11, 2014, after a brave and painful fight against cancer. She will be dearly missed by her Partner Ralph and her Children Simon, Alison, Martinand Julian.
She provided love and support to us and our Families. We are immensely proud of her intelligence, strength and energy, with which she pursued her personal life and her local history studies.
Her Funeral will be at Telford Crematorium on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at 1pm.
Family flowers only please, any donations received will be divided between Macmillan Cancer Relief and Cancer Research UK.

The Hendersons, Yvonne, Don and son Steve want to express our heartfelt sympathies in the loss of your Mother. Yvonne and Don enjoyed the times we spent with Sylvia and were fascinated by her knowledge of medieval Latin and her understanding of the commerce of those times. Although I hadn't known you long I am so pleased I got to meet you. The love, strength of character and passion for learning you gave your children is a remarkable gift. Through this you will live on in their hearts forever, while they pass this gift to their children. Thank you for accepting me into your fold, I just wish we had more time.

She was a very special woman, both as a mum, and for the amazing amount of work she did for the local history of Shifnal and surrounding area.
She was an absolute rock for me, and will leave a big hole in my life.
The pain will fade a bit, but my memories of her won't.
Goodbye mum, I hope you have the peace you deserve after such a brave fight.
