Margeret….I would firstly like to thank you for allowing me into your family for a short but extremely enjoyable time of my life. I was however, under no illusion that my temporary place came way below that of Bimbo and Bibbet, but I was equally proud and happy to be there. I also look back with embarrassment for what it must have been like for you to have a dishevelled hormonally challenged and spotty pre-teenager, tapping expectantly on the french windows every waking hour. I am truly sorry to have put you through that and the gain was completely and selfishly mine. My deep regret was that my personal realisation of those early impositions, prevented me from visiting you in latter years. Equally selfish, was that I wanted to remember you as you were in those predominantly happy times and when I picture you in my mind it is from that period. Thank you! Your memory will remain with me for the rest of my days and you may be pleased to know that that spotty teenager grew up into a sedate old man. You will also be pleased to know that Sue scolded me for having my arms “stuffily” folded when we were celebrating your wonderful life. Jim xxxx

I'm so sorry to hear the news. My memories of Mrs Bayliss are all happy and fun. And although I haven't seen her for many years, I have vivid memories of my teenage years at her home that will will stay with me all of my life. She was a breath of fresh air. Full of life and so interesting. She always made me feel welcome. A house of fun and laughter. My thoughts are with you and I feel your loss. Love Sue Williams (Clarke) xx
