Every Pupils Best Friend!

Tara Jane Goddard

18 February 2017
Mrs Jean Rowson was every pupils best friend and was the kindest of people, she dedicated 35 years of her life teaching the children who attended Whittington C of E Aided Primary School. It was an honour to have had her as a teacher in Year 2, she supported all of her pupils in the best way possible. She is still missed by all who knew her. I can't believe it will be 7 years she has been gone this year. She taught me, my brother and sister and we did many school plays with support and guidance from her. I remember when my brother Sam played a shepherd in the Christmas Nativity play and Mrs Rowson loved it, she loved it so much she recorded the play with Sam singing 'Shepherd Boy' and to this day we don't know what become of the video. I last saw her in Greggs with my mum shortly before she died and she still made the time for everyone. When we walk around the village we always visit her grave and talk to her. We miss and love you Mrs Jean Rowson. Tara Jane Goddard and family.
