A year has gone and

my memory lingers on,

the moment you died

my heart split in two,

one side with heartache and

the other died with you

I often lie awake when all are

asleep thinking of you

with tears on my cheeks,

remembering you occurs

every day but missing you

is heartache that never

goes away

I keep you close within my

heart and there you will

remain until the day comes

that we can be together again
