Grandad, it's been a year since you went away, though you're in my thoughts every day. The pain and grief is still the same, when I think of you in keeps me sane, I'm blessed to have you in my life. You told me stories, shared a joke, you made me laugh until I choked, you are my hero, role model and inspiration, you were so kind and always patient. They say every generation is like every other generation and they certainly weren't wrong, as the bond between us was very strong. Until we meet again the memory of you is well and truly etched in my heart and shall never depart.
