MACKAY Very peacefully, at Royal Northern Infirmary, Inverness, on Sunday, August 5, 2012, after a long illness borne with great courage and determination, William Mackay, retired Superintendent Northern Constabulary, of 33 Cradlehall Park, Westhill, Inverness and native of Lybster, Caithness, aged 85 years. Dearly beloved husband of the late Nan, devoted father of Cheryl, Joanna, William and Tom, a much treasured grandad, father-in-law, brother-in-law and friend. Service on Saturday, August 11, at 10 a.m., in Crown Church, Inverness, thereafter to Mount Vernon Cemetery, Thurso, Caithness (approximate time of arrival 2 p.m.). All family and friends respectfully invited. Family flowers only please. Donations, if so desired, to Cancer Relief, may be given at the service.
