Mrs Sue McDermott, Hayley and Alex and the Family of the late Mr Bernie McDermott wish to express their sincere thanks to all Relatives, Friends, Neighbours, former Colleagues from theWest Mercia Constabulary and Members of the wider Church Family for the many cards, letters, emails, Facebook posts, Mass cards, flowers and other kind messages of sympathy, love and prayers received at this very sad and most difficult time, for the attendance of so many of you at his Funeral Mass and for your donations to Prostate Cancer UK, totalling an amazing œ2,000 to date! Your wonderful support has been greatly appreciated by us all.

We extend our special thanks to his Doctors and to the Staffat Bridgnorth Medical Practice for all your efforts on Bernie's behalf throughout his illness, to the Doctors and all Staff at New Cross Hospital N.H.S. Trust at Wolverhampton for your care of and kindness to him throughout his stay with you and forthe great dignity afforded to him and to the Family in the closing hours of his life, to The Flower Shop in Bridgnorth for the beautiful floral tributes, to everyone who contributed their memories of Bernie to us for inclusion in his Funeral Mass, toAmy and the Team at The Woodberry Down in Bridgnorth for your warm hospitality on a thoroughly wet and miserable day, for the excellent post Funeral reception catering and for looking after everyone so well afterwards and to Celebrant Father Iain Griffiths, to Organist Mr Tim Jordan, to all Members of the Church Choir and to Soloist Mrs Jayne Davies for leading us in a most uplifting celebration of the life and times of Bernie McDermott.
