HILDA GRANT As a result of the severe consequences of a fall Hilda sadly passed on Saturday, March 21, 2015 with her family close by in ward 212 of ARI around 5pm. A dedicated team of doctors, surgeons, nurses worked tirelessly all day to keep her with us. She was 6 weeks short of celebrating her 100th birthday! Hilda was wife of the late Jimmy Grant C. B.E, a well known and respected editor of the Press & Journal 1960-1975. Amazing mother to Elaine, sister to dear Adeline, much loved Nana to Esme and Amy. She will be missed also by Stuart and Tristan. Hilda was proud and delighted to become a great grandma to Jesse Michael Clark born 13/12/13. We would like to thank the two sensitive ambulance men and the staff at A&E. Our thanks also go to Holburn Medical and Whinhill Surgeries. Additional mentions include carers and professionals who helped Hilda along the way. We are in indebted to all staff at The Cowdry Club over the last 2 years, not to mention the residents. We have found invaluable, the support of close friends, family near and far, neighbours and The Fellowship. A service will be held Monday, March 30 at 10.25 a.m. at Aberdeen Crematorium (West Chapel) led by Elaine's minister Rev Ewen Gilchrist (Cults Parish Church). Family flowers only please; donations in lieu to Aberdeen Cyrenians will be gathered on the day. Everyone is welcome at the service and to dress brightly!

It was such a privelege to have had Hilda very much part of our lives for many years
We both shared a great love of flowers and many happy hours were spent in the garden
She served up words of wisdom with endless "tit bits "
And had a great sense of humour

Please accept our condolences at this difficult time.
