Memories of Malcolm our much-loved brother-in-law

Jan Currall

28 April 2024
We have so many happy memories of Malcolm who was a brilliant husband to Sue; son-in-law to Ken & Jean and a good friend and brother-in-law to us both. As an uncle he was always so supportive of our sons Andy & Matt and their wives Kath & Louise and loved being a great-uncle to Erin, Jacob, Ella & Orla. Malcolm loved all his family and was a fiercely loyal friend. We will always remember his friendship and generosity of spirit. He would do anything for anyone in need and was very keen to support charities looking to re-home dogs even from abroad and to ensure retired race horses were well looked after. He loved his dogs Buster, Sam and currently Paddy who were rescue dogs and gave them the best life ever! He was part owner of a few race horses in the past and one of our favourite memories was going to the races with Malcolm & Sue and to The Grand National at Aintree where Malcolm was in his element. Studying the racing post he could always be relied on for a tip or two. He was so proud of his company Magpie Engineering and would love to reminisce about his working life and all that he achieved. Malcolm will be sadly missed but always remembered with much affection. He would have been so worried at leaving Sue (and Paddy) but she will be loved and looked after by us all. Jan & Dave Currall
