BRAKE Gladys, beloved Mother.
February 1, 1927 - January 4, 2013.
I did not know that evening it would be our last, packing away your Christmas tree as we'd done in the past, I kissed your face as usual as I went on my way, thinking that tomorrowwe'd enjoy another day. Doctors gazed upon you and all they could see, was a tiny, fading body, not the Mother who raised me. I told them all the things you did, living day to day but they just shook their heads and said you were probably going away.
Itbroke my heart to lose you Mom, my support, my Friend and guide, I can't contemplate the years ahead without you at my side.
Life will be just a shadow without you.
