Eight long years today.

Though you're no longer with me every day I find, in one way or another, you're back there in my mind.

I might hear a piece of music and at once my mind is stirred back to a treasured moment the two of us have shared.

I never try to stop them, I let them just flow through, it's just my way of spending time once again with you.

If we listen really close in the silence of the night, we hear your voice to comfort us and say that you're alright but it's often hard to understand why certain things must be and the reasons why they happen are so often so hard to see, but we find comfort in the knowledge that God is always there, to keep the one we love so much forever in His care.
