Stanley Henry
Grandad
You held my hand when I was small, you caught me when I fell, you're the hero of my childhood and my later years as well.
Always so loving, so smart, so kind, if only there was a way to rewind and relive the moments that I didn't realise were priceless, beautiful, something to prize.
I learned how to listen, have patience and be me, to be tolerant and understanding of all that I see, appreciate the little things, you provided so many good tales of good times passed, lessons learned, the kind of memories that could never be bought.
God, you took my Grandad, to erase His pain, I only ask that you let his spirit remain, to inspire us all to become the best we can be and maybe one day live up to his legacy. If you can hear me, I'll always love you and remember your wisdom in all that I do
I know that you're with me, in your own special way and I know that I will see you again someday.
Love, Grandson Jack.
