We should have held you longer,
But we’ll hold you in our heart.
We wish you hadn’t left us,
But we’ll never truly be apart.
We weren’t ready for you to leave us,
We never wanted you to go,
But now you are with Grandad,
And how you loved him so.
You are at peace,
The aches or pains can trouble you no more.
