Husband

Why did you have to leaveme, why did you have to go. It broke my heart to lose you because I love you so. No more tomorrows for you and I, all I have are memories of times gone by. I will treasure these memories for the rest of my life, proud of you as my Husband and proud to beyour Wife. Rest in peace now John, your suffering is over. Till we meet again, love you forever.

Your devoted Wife Joan.

Dad

In a daze I sit and stare not knowing what to write as it seems so unreal and feels like a bad dream. The memory keeps coming back to the day you said goodbye, you opened your eyes to let us know you would soon be leaving. We wept as we said our goodbyes as you slowly closed your eyes for the last time. They say time and memories are a great healer and help ease the pain but your show of strength and support you gave through all the years will stay with me and only those will help me through. Although the pain was unbearable I knew it was time to let you go. Sleep now and rest in peace.

Dad

My eyes are still stinging Dad, I can't believe its true, your golden heart stopped beating and there was nothing I could do. Although you tried with all your might this one last battle you could not fight. I held your hand so warm in mine, though I knew we were out of time. The moment that you died my heart was torn in two, one side filled with heartache, the other died with you. I was so very lucky and proud to have you as my Dad. Love and miss you forever . Give my love to Sparky.
