You fell asleep and made no fuss, you tried so hard to stay with us, your strength had gone but your courage remained.

The next time we meet will be at Heaven's door, you will be there to meet me and I will cry no more, I will put my arms around you and kiss your smiling face and then the pieces of my broken heart will fall back into place.

Our special Nan

We sat beside your bedside and held your hand with love, we stroked your face with tenderness and prayed to God above, in tears we watched you sleeping and slowly slip away, it broke our hearts to lose you but we knew you could not stay.
