Passed away peacefully at New Cross Hospital, on January 20, 2015, aged 90 years.

Funeral to take place at St Matthew's Church, East Park Way, on Thursday, February 5, at 12 noon, followed by Interment at Danescourt Cemetery, at 1pm.

We often lie awake at night, when the world is fast asleep and take a walk down memory lane with tears upon our cheeks.

As we sat by your bedside and watched you fade away, our hearts were almost broken, as you fought so hard to stay.

You fed us well, you made us strong, you taught us to know right from wrong, you always knew the way we felt, you used your words you knew would help.

God saw that he was getting tired, a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around him and whispered 'come with Me'.

With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away, although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay.

In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still, in our hearts you hold a place, no one else could ever fill.Goodnight, God bless Grandad.
