DAVIES Alun.

Dearest Partner May Beebe, Nieces, Nephews and respective Families of Alun wish to express their sincere thanks to all Relatives and Friends for their letters and cards, flowers and messages of love and sympathy received at this very sad time. Thank you to all who attended his Funeral Service at Stourbridge Crematorium, on Thursday, January 30, 2014. We are so grateful for all the kind donations received for Compton Hospice which the total to date is œ1,020.

In attendance were the members of the three choirs that Alun regularly attended. Namely The Kinfayre Singers, Alveley Choir and the New Dimensional Experience Choir, whose brilliant and moving vocal support uplifted the rest of the congregation on this memorable occasion.

Sincereand grateful thanks to Mrs Viv Bamber for her support and advice to the Family. She genuinely caught and projected the essence of Alun in her address; the whole ceremony was an enriching insight to a local character.

Grateful thanks also to Mike Smith and Joanne Knee on piano and flute for their wonderful rendition of the 'Londonderry Air' arranged by Mike which was a touching tribute to his dear Friend.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the Doctors and Staff at Moss Grove Surgery, Kinver and the District Nurses diligent care and attendance to Alun's needs over the years.

We cannot express how grateful we are to all those who nursed and cared for Alun during his final week at Compton Hospice. Thank you also to the Staff at the Day Care Unit at the Hospice for their inexhaustible help, support and sensitive nursing care throughout. Our gratitude extends to Val and all the Macmillan Nurses during their care for Alun at his home. We must not forget Stephan and Becky at the Fox Inn, Stourton, for the warm and wonderful hospitality. Catering for and receiving so many of us gathering to share memories of dearest Alun.

Finally and not least, thank you to Alison and all involved with Kinver Funeral Directors at Adeline House, Kinver, for all their help, support, invaluable advice and guidance throughout.
