Little did we know what sorrow the day would bring, it broke our hearts to lose you Merl, God knew that you were suffering, He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, He closed your weary eyesand whispered peace be thine, it broke our hearts to lose you Merl but you didn't go alone, as part of us went with you on your final journey home, we will never forget you Merl, you always had a smile to share, time to care, a loving nature warm and true, these are the memories we will keep of you.
