You touched my life in so many ways, you listened with your heart and sunshine seems so hard to find since we have been apart, you left some lovely memories and each one's precious too but they cannot replace someone who meant as much as you.

In dreams you smile in that old way and somehow seem to say 'this partings not forever, we'll meet again one day'. No hour goes by without a thought of things we did and said and that will always remain with me throughout the years ahead.

It's different here without you Dad, we miss you every day, our lives have never been the same since you went away, but when our days are sad and lonely and everything goes wrong we seem to hear you whisper 'cheer up and carry on'.
