I sat beside your bedside, I held your hand with love, I watched while you were sleeping and I prayed to God above.

In tears I watched you sinking and slowly fade away, although my heart was breaking, I knew you could notstay.

You fell asleep, you made no fuss, you tried so hard to stay with us.
