As the weeks passed slowly by I sat beside your bed trying not to cry, I longed to holdyou and kiss away your pain, how I longed to see you smile again, at the end you came back for awhile, we loved you and held you and saw you smile, as in life and now in death my love is with you forever.

Dad I held your hand as you slipped away and willed away your pain, you've left an open space that no one could ever measure or fill again.
